Puff Back in Philadelphia Home

A "Puff Back" is the misfiring of the furnace sending soot throughout your home. Damage can be very severe or sometimes light. Proper cleaning must be done to the entire home in most cases; ceilings, walls, floors, contents, clothing, and more. SERVPRO uses special cleaning agents and sponges to ensure all soot is removed. These pictures show a home that suffered a puff-back, the soot damage was not very heavy. It was noticeable when you moved a picture on the wall & using the railing going down the steps; 'Our hands suddenly had black smudge" as the customer described.
